Today, amendment petitioners and members of the Committee to Improve Police Community Relations, delivered the draft amendment and 7,000 petitions from Akron residents to the Clerk of Akron City Council. This is the first step towards getting this initiative onto the ballot so that all of the residents of Akron can vote on this issue to increase public safety and trust between law enforcement and the community by creating permanent change to help Akron heal.
